Stephen Gaghan's new movie might draw in moviegoers with the star power of George Clooney and Matt Damon, but what will stick is its provocative and disturbing plot -- an intricate tale about the oil industry in the Middle East. Based in part on the memoir of a longtime CIA operative in the Middle East, it features a CIA political assassination and Islamic terrorism. Gaghan won an Academy Award for Traffic in 2001.
