Ecology Institute Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. serves as vice president of the board of directors and chief prosecuting attorney for Riverkeeper, an organization dedicated to protecting the Hudson River and its tributaries. He is also a clinical professor at Pace University School of Law, and has published several books and articles about the environment, including The Riverkeepers (Simon & Schuster, 1999). Delivering the Urban Ecology Institute's annual keynote address, Kennedy speaks about the importance of urban ecosystems in a healthy environment. He explains how the straining effects of suburban sprawl and urban populations threaten the economy, ecology, and public health in cities in New England. |
